Stunning scenery as a birthday treat.

The girls made me presents
Birthday dress - make by women at the shelter
Tea with a dear friend
Birthday dinner with another old friend (at the house I lived in when I first came to Herat)

Another day to be alive, friends, cakes made with love, rose petals and bling! What a great birthday combination. Hope it is a wonderful year for you.

The pictures are wonderful and really moving. I got a bit teary looking at them. I think because what you’re doing is to incredible and so few would be brave enough to try. You really are beautiful, inside and out.
Gorgeous pics Marianne! Looking forward to a belated celebration with you in person sometime soon. x
