A few good things (a very short round up from around the interwebs)

I launched my book this week.

Which left me very little time for curating interesting links from across the interwebs. So here is a very short (and utterly slanted) collection of good things:

Kimberly Rothwell, at the Dominion Post, wrote about Zen Under Fire, how I got started in human rights work, the complexities of UN work in Afghanistan and the erosion (and restoration) of my mental health.

Graham Beattie (book reviewer, former managing director of Penguin NZ) agreed with enthusiastic reports he had heard from others about Zen Under Fire.

And one link that’s not about my own book – but which is about women’s stories: in the wake of Sunday’s Academy Awards, Tara Mohr writes Dear Oscar, Women Have Stories, Too

More when this train slows down!

When are you on Nine to Noon? Or have I missed it?

  2. […] love reading Susannah’s and Marianne’s Friday blog posts, where they share links to all kinds of yummy stuff they’ve come across during […]

I saw Zen under Fire in Time Out books on Mt Eden Road yesterday and it felt exciting, like seeing someone I know even though my connection to it is only through following your blog for the past few years. As soon as the credit card bill clears I’ll be buying it!

I heard you on Nine to Noon this morning and thought you were great. Go you for writing the book and then getting it published – I’m really looking forward to reading it.
