The Village Crier

I think of myself first and foremost as a storyteller, and sometimes I see myself as the village crier. My work is to find, polish, treasure and then share the stories that help us see ourselves in each other, the stories that compel us to take better care of each other. My work, often, is to cry out into the silence – to say what is dying to be said. I use my own voice – as a writer, a speaker and an advocate – and I amplify the voices of other change-makers.

That’s how I answered when Christine Mason Miller asked me to talk about my work in the world for her new book  Desire to Inspire.

Desire to Inspire: Using Creative Passion to Transform the World will begin shipping this month. Pre-order your copy right here!

And today, Christine has a giveaway of a copy of Desire to Inspire.
