I am so proud to announce that registration has opened for my new online course, 30 Days of Curvy Yoga, with the very fabulous Anna Guest-Jelley.

Anna is a dear friend and the creator of Curvy Yoga, a revolutionary website, yoga class and way of thinking about yoga for our diverse human bodies. I think this work is so important that last year I asked Anna if she would collaborate with me on on a curvy version of the 30 Days of Yoga course.

To my great pleasure, she agreed. Why? Because like me, Anna believes fiercely in the power of crafting a practice that fits individual people–that works with your particular curves or lack thereof, your abilities, your time frame, your love/loathe body feeling of the moment, and your desires of what you want out of your practice.

Here are just a few of the many reasons to join this curvy party:

  • You’ve never tried yoga before and like the idea of gettin’ down with your yoga self at home vs. out amongst the bendy, svelte yoga masses.
  • You always tell yourself you want to practice yoga at home, but it somehow always falls off your to-do list (we’re both totally with you on this one!).
  • You want some ideas on how to modify poses for your body. The course includes a 45-minute practice from Anna, complete with many different modifications so that you can experiment with what works for you.
  • You like the idea of hangin’ with a supportive curvy community. We’ve got a community forum set up just for you! I’m in New Zealand and Anna is in Nashville, TN, so you’re bound to meet folks from all over!
  • You want to hear Anna’s charming Southern accent. She’ll be hosting weekly live calls with this course; sharing tips and strategies as well as taking questions! If you can’t make it live, we’ll have a recording so you can listen later.
  • You want to try yoga both on and off the mat. The intention of the course is to help you think about how you want to invite yoga into your life. There’s no obligation to practice yoga poses every day (or to do anything, actually).
  • You think regular encouragement might be helpful. Anna and I will be in your inbox every day (though not literally; that would be weird) with thoughts on yoga, body positivity, treating yourself with kindness, practicing yoga at home and more. And if you want to, we’ll connect you with a buddy who you can correspond with to support each other in your practice.

The course starts on July 18, and registration closes July 16.  Anna and I will be sharing more exciting thoughts on the course from now until then.
