I want you to be safe.
I want you to be free from suffering, and the causes of suffering.
I want you to be at peace.
I want all my friends in Gaza and Afghanistan to be safe.
I want them to be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
I want them to be at peace.
I want you, and all my friends in Gaza and Israel and Afghanistan, and all beings everywhere to be safe. I want you all to be at peace.
I can’t stop bad things from happening. I tried that already.
I spent two years in the Gaza Strip, and I spent two years in Afghanistan. And I learned that bad things happen, and even when we all work together for peace we can’t stop them all from happening.
But I can become a presence for peace in the world. And I can help you experience peace in your daily life. And I can help you become a peaceful presence, a beacon on the peaceful path.
I can support you to be the peace you want to see in the world.
That’s what I’m doing these holidays. That is my offering.
If you want to join me on the peaceful path through these turbulent times, join me for my Zen Guide to the Holidays.
We begin Friday. The day after Thanksgiving. Registration closes this Wednesday.
With love,
Marianne

You articulate so many of my own wishes in this, Marianne. Happy Thanksgiving!
