Today I’m opening general registrations for the August 30 days of yoga. We’ll be starting the next 30 days of yoga on 10 August, beginning with the new moon – an auspicious time for new beginnings.
Why yoga?
Yoga is a great way to get reconnected with your body, to release tensions and anxiety, to sleep better, grow stronger, breathe deeper and generally feel well. Many people also find that yoga helps bring more mindfulness to their life off the mat as well, whether that’s in their relationship to other people or to food.
“I definitely feel more mindful of my body in general and I have been sleeping better as well. It’s helped my eating practices as well – being more alert to fullness and hunger, responses to certain foods, and cravings.” – Meghan
I think of yoga as a way to make peace in the world, one person at a time.
You can find out more about the course, and sign up here.
I opened registrations for people on my ‘VIP access and backstage pass‘ list yesterday and half of the places are already gone. So if you are ready to establish your own, unique home yoga practice, don’t wait too long. The remaining places may fill fast.
Then again, maybe they won’t. I’m not interested in pressuring anybody, I just don’t want you to miss out if this is what you know you need to do for yourself.
If you are holding back because you don’t know if you can manage the course, the answer is that you almost certainly can. Yoga is not only for the flexible and the fit and I’ll choose a practice that suits you.*
If you are still wondering whether this course is for you, you can read some testimonials from other participants.
Some people find the idea of signing up for an online yoga course a bit intimidating. If you feel that way, you are not alone. However, many people who have been intimidated by yoga classes enjoy the 30 days course, because they can move and learn at their own speed.
“I have always been too scared to go to a gym and join the classes, but this is exactly my speed.” – Tina
Other people have been trying to practice yoga at home with videos for years but struggled to understand what they were supposed to be feeling or to make the practice their own. This course gives you direct access to the teacher in the video (that’s me!) and regular encouragement, support and advice while you settle into your new practice.
“I have a couple of yoga videos, but they have not been able to get my body to feel any different at all. Where as after the first time I did this practice I could already tell a difference in my body and peace of mind.” – Tracey
“I’ve always been dependent on yoga videos and dvds, not really knowing how to develop my own routine. I believe that this past 30 days has given me the confidence to put together my own practice.” – Chris
Many people believe that a regular yoga practice would do them good, but just find it hard to get started. This course is designed to walk you through those first essential 30 days of establishing your new habit and help you get passed the major road blocks, and it works!
“I’m excited because I feel like I’ve blasted through the blocks I’ve had with yoga in the past. Your set-up has made it really easy to do. I feel a lot better about it and quite relieved too as it’s something I’ve always known I’ve wanted to do but I haven’t been able to manage it in the past.” – Natasha
Finally, please know that this is NOT a yoga boot camp. There is no “tough love” in my yoga class or course, I do not believe in motivating people with shame, fear or pressure. I am utterly convinced that kindness is our best teacher and enthusiasm and joy are our best motivators. This course is designed and taught from that conviction.
“Earlier this year I did an online exercise class and received very demanding and insensitive emails from the course leader. It made me hesitant to do anything similar again. It has been lovely though receiving your emails – I always work better with gentle encouragement and that’s what you have provided.” – Nicola
*If you are pregnant or have been advised by a doctor or physiotherapist to avoid certain types of movements or exercise, please email me before you sign up so that we can decide whether this course is for you: marianne at marianne-elliott dot com
